2. Skate the Rideau Canal

3. Launch the new spring season at the Canadian Agriculture & Food Museum
The annual Fascinating Barnyard March Break Foodology begins on Saturday March 1st. Visitors will be able to take in a wide variety of demonstrations from bread chemistry, to “Eggsperiments” to “Taffy-ology”: the science of maple taffy making. Children can get creative and keep themselves busy with a maple-themed craft.

4. Attend the “Nature Nocturne” Event at the Canadian Museum of Nature
Are you ready for your close-up? On Friday February 28, photography and image-capturing will take centre stage at the museum with fun, creative programming. Enjoy a curated show of works by local photographers, dance to the beats created by DJ Ron Lavoie and photograph the exhibitions with your unique perspective. 5. Walk the red carpet and watch the 86th Annual Academy Awards

“Occupy Me” is a play that features yoga instructor Sarah Lotus Blossom who just can’t breathe and let go as she grapples with the Occupy movement, travelling to India, and leading you in an actual yoga class! The play actually blurs the lines between the actor and the audience so you may want to come ready to get bendi. Takes place on Friday, Feb. 28 at Rama Lotus Yoga Centre, at 8 p.m.
